Job Title: Marketing & Growth Manager
Location: Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-Time
This is first and foremost a marketing and growth position — not a traditional sales role. You’ll be responsible for making sure High10 markets itself with the same strategic thinking, consistency and accountability we bring to our clients. You’ll also play an important role in helping identify the companies, people, relationships and opportunities High10 should be pursuing.
Our CEO will take primary responsibility for direct prospect outreach, new-business conversations, presentations and closing business. Your job will be to help create the environment and opportunities that make those conversations happen — and make sure nothing falls through the cracks when they do.
Over time, there may be an opportunity for the right person to take a more active role in business development, relationship building and prospect outreach. But success in this position will not initially depend on cold calling or personally closing business.
About High10 Digital
High10 is a thoughtfully assembled team of marketers, communicators, creators, planners, managers and optimizers who share a singular passion for helping our clients achieve tangible, measurable and sustainable results.
We are a true full-service agency, with serious digital and social chops, storytelling prowess, website savvy and expertise across paid, owned and earned media. From SEO and AI-driven search optimization to paid media, social, creative, research, strategy and web development, we help organizations connect their marketing investments to meaningful business outcomes.
Marketing is changing quickly. So are we.
We believe AI and emerging technologies are creating significant opportunities for agencies willing to evolve, challenge traditional approaches and help clients navigate an increasingly complex marketing landscape.
Bottom line: no matter the size or scope of a project, High10 is Very Good For Business.
Responsibilities
Treat High10 like one of our most important clients.
You’ll lead and coordinate the agency’s marketing efforts, working with our internal specialists across social media, creative, optimization, paid media, research and strategy.
Responsibilities include:
- Own and maintain High10’s marketing plan and calendar
- Look for opportunities to improve and expand how High10 markets itself rather than simply maintaining what we’re already doing
- Coordinate High10’s social media presence and content
- Coordinate our e-newsletter, email marketing and prospect-nurturing initiatives
- Develop campaigns designed to create awareness and new-business opportunities within priority industries and audiences
- Identify opportunities for our CEO and other High10 leaders to provide thought leadership
- Identify and coordinate speaking engagements, webinars, events and other opportunities to showcase High10’s expertise
- Help develop and promote client success stories and case studies
- Identify opportunities for PR and earned-media exposure
- Work with our internal team to ensure High10’s website and digital presence effectively communicate our evolving capabilities
- Coordinate marketing initiatives with High10’s internal subject-matter experts
- Track marketing activity and results and recommend adjustments based on performance
- Keep internal marketing projects moving and ensure deadlines are met
- Continually identify new ways High10 can create awareness, engagement and conversations with prospective clients
You will not be expected to personally execute every marketing discipline. High10 already has specialists in those areas. You’ll be responsible for making sure the right initiatives are identified, prioritized, assigned, executed and measured.
Identify Growth Opportunities
Work directly with the CEO to help determine where High10’s new-business efforts should be focused.
Responsibilities include:
- Research companies that fit High10’s ideal client profiles
- Identify key decision-makers and provide relevant background and contact information
- Develop and maintain prioritized target prospect lists
- Research meaningful reasons for High10 to initiate conversations with prospective clients
- Identify opportunities among previous prospects, former clients and dormant relationships
- Look for opportunities within the CEO’s and High10 team’s existing professional networks
- Identify potential introductions through clients, community relationships and referral partners
- Help develop and maintain relationships with referral sources
- Research networking events, conferences, organizations and other opportunities that could create valuable relationships
- Monitor company, industry and leadership changes that could create reasons for outreach
- Identify ways High10’s marketing activities can directly support new-business development
- Help ensure the CEO consistently has a strong pipeline of organizations and people worth pursuing
Initially, the CEO will take primary responsibility for direct prospect outreach. Your responsibility is to make that outreach more focused, better informed and more consistent.
Support the New-Business Process
Once an opportunity exists, help make sure High10 makes the most of it.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate and timely prospect and opportunity information in our CRM
- Ensure every active opportunity has a clearly defined next step
- Track follow-ups and prevent promising opportunities from falling through the cracks
- Schedule and coordinate prospect meetings
- Prepare prospect and company research prior to new-business conversations
- Participate in new-business meetings when appropriate
- Coordinate Digital Presence Audits and other prospect assessments with our internal team
- Coordinate development of proposals and presentations
- Help prepare materials for important prospect meetings
- Track proposal follow-up and pipeline movement
- Identify stalled opportunities that should be re-engaged
- Provide regular pipeline and growth updates to the CEO
- Help the CEO prioritize where his business-development time can have the greatest impact
The objective is to allow our CEO to spend more time building relationships, talking with prospective clients and closing business — and less time researching prospects, managing the CRM, coordinating materials and remembering who needs to be contacted next.
Opportunity to Grow
We expect this position to evolve. As you become more familiar with High10, our capabilities, our clients and the types of organizations we work best with, there may be opportunities to become more directly involved in:
- Developing relationships with prospective clients
- Networking on behalf of High10
- Managing referral relationships
- Initiating prospect outreach
- Conducting initial new-business conversations
- Representing High10 at business and community events
- Helping develop and eventually close new-business opportunities
We don’t expect someone to walk in on day one and sell sophisticated marketing engagements. We do want someone who is interested in learning the business, developing relationships and potentially taking on greater responsibility for growth over time.
What We’re Looking For
We’re less concerned about a specific number of years of experience than we are about finding the right person. You may be a strong fit if you:
- Are exceptionally organized and follow through on commitments
- Are proactive and naturally look for what should happen next
- Think beyond completing tasks and look for opportunities to improve results
- Understand marketing and how different disciplines work together
- Are interested in how AI and emerging technologies are changing marketing
- Enjoy researching companies, industries, people and opportunities
- Communicate naturally and professionally
- Are comfortable interacting with business owners and senior executives
- Enjoy developing professional relationships
- Can manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
- Are comfortable with CRM and other business technology
- Can coordinate work across multiple specialists and hold projects accountable to deadlines
- Are comfortable working directly with company leadership
- Are interested in business development even if you haven’t previously worked in a traditional sales role
- Want an opportunity to grow your responsibilities as High10 grows
Experience in marketing, account management, business development, sales support, professional services or an agency environment is helpful, but not required.
What Success Looks Like
Success will be measured by both the quality and consistency of High10’s marketing and our ability to create more qualified opportunities for growth. That includes:
- Consistent execution and expansion of High10’s marketing efforts
- New campaigns and initiatives designed to generate awareness and opportunities
- Increased inbound interest
- Stronger thought leadership and visibility for High10
- Consistent identification of qualified target companies and decision-makers
- More opportunities generated through existing relationships and referrals
- A healthy and organized new-business pipeline
- More meaningful prospect conversations for the CEO
- Consistent movement of opportunities through discovery, audits and proposals
- Timely follow-up
- Accurate CRM and pipeline information
- More of the CEO’s time spent on high-value business-development activities Ultimately, we want this
Compensation & Opportunity
For a full-time employee, the salary range for this position is $50,000–$60,000, depending on experience, plus new-business incentive compensation. High10 is also open to considering an experienced professional on a contract or contract-to-hire basis, particularly for someone who can step in quickly and help accelerate our marketing and growth initiatives. This position will work directly with High10’s CEO and leadership team and have exposure to virtually every part of the agency.
For the right person, we expect the role — and the opportunity to participate more directly in High10’s growth — to expand over time.
Why High10?
We’re a collaborative team of marketers who enjoy working together and care about producing work that makes a measurable difference for our clients. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with our CEO and agency leadership, help shape how High10 markets itself, build relationships with business and community leaders, work alongside specialists across multiple marketing disciplines and have a visible impact on the agency’s future growth.
