High10 Digital is looking for a talented Web Developer to expand our capacity and capabilities. This role encompasses visual design, front-end development and modifying existing websites ranging from front-end to back-end development including writing and customizing simple PHP scripts or using Javascript libraries such as jQuery. The goal will always be to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.
To succeed in this role, you must be proficient in front-end scripting/templating such as jQuery and Foundation/Bootstrap and have solid knowledge and experience working with content management systems like WordPress and Drupal. We expect you to be familiar with the latest trends and technologies in the web development industry.
The ideal candidate is a creative-driven developer with experience in user-centered design of websites and mobile experiences who can work alongside a team and independently on the creation, maintenance, and updates of websites for clients across a variety of industries. The Web Developer will have an immediate impact on the High10 brand as well as those of our clients.
Deliverables
Create engaging user experiences through mobile-first best practices while incorporating front-end frameworks and back-end languages such as PHP, third-party scripts and APIs where necessary
Apply responsive site design principles
Create and maintain workflows with internal teams to provide visibility and to ensure workload balance
Develop testing schedules, addressing all browsers and devices to ensure target audiences can access content
Responsibilities
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
Determine user needs by analyzing technical requirements
Working knowledge of PHP (additional scripting languages a plus)
Evaluate code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with appropriate browsers, devices, and operating systems
Create wireframes, website layout, and user interface using third-party tools such as Adobe XD, WordPress theme frameworks, HTML5 and CSS3
Integrate third-party data through APIs
Familiarity with cross-browser testing tools to develop test routines to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types
Communicate clearly and regularly with colleagues to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, and choose solutions
Continually review user session data to identify opportunities to bring new ideas to clients and improve the user experience
Work quickly and carefully to complete small edits requested by clients, develop plans for completing larger projects, and suggest new solutions to improve existing websites
Ensure websites are backed up using our third-party platform Google Drive, UpdraftPlus (with WordPress)
Ensure security measures and monitoring is in place for clients, including malware monitoring and developing processes to address infections
Maintain an understanding of the latest web applications and programming practices through employer-incentivized education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups
Requirements
Experience planning and developing websites across various web protocols and tools such as SSH, SFTP, basic database administration and website migration
Proven experience in website design and back-end development, with demonstrated proficiency in WordPress, Drupal, Shopify, SquareSpace and other industry web builders
Proficient with modern JavaScript libraries and modern front-end development frameworks and markup
Experience with e-commerce and a strong grasp of security principles as they apply to e-commerce applications
Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
Experience with troubleshooting and analyzing performance benchmarks using industry-standard tools
Good time-management skills
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques

Ability to multitask within strict time constraints, budgets, and business goals
Understanding of conversion and event tracking with Google analytics to facilitate reporting mechanisms
Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization principles as they apply to the development process
